We are Ruben & Joana

We’re a couple of wedding photographers who believe the most meaningful moments aren’t staged — they just happen. To us, a wedding isn’t about formal traditions or picture-perfect poses. It’s about the real connection between two people choosing each other, just as they are.

We’ve been together for 11 years, sharing a love for nature, travel, and life’s little adventures. Whether we’re hiking through the woods, exploring new places, or just enjoying a quiet evening with our two cats and our dog, we find inspiration in the world around us — and in each other.

We were lucky enough to have found Ruben to do a maternity shoot during our visit to Santa Cruz. Ruben was so fun to work with, professional but also helped us feel so relaxed. He was great with capturing the small moments and made the entire process very candid and comfortable. The weather wasn't great on the day, but he found the best spots to produce amazing shots. He even gave us a little tour of Santa Cruz at the end of our session.

The edited photo gallery was ready within 24 hours and the photos absolutely blew us away. What an amazing way to remember our time in Santa Cruz!

We would highly recommend Ruben and hope we can work with him again in the future.

There are no words or appreciation sufficient to demonstrate our gratitude and affection for Ruben. From the first contact we felt a huge empathy, so we had no doubts that we would entrust the photographic report of our wedding to their care. We spent the day in NYC with Nick and Joana, and honestly? It was such a good time. Nothing overly planned — just the two of them showing us around the city they love.
